The King of Pop(corn)

Joe & Seph’s is a range of gourmet popcorn (yes, gourmet popcorn) which quite frankly blew our socks off when it arrived at Devour HQ. At £4 for an 80-100g pouch, 3 pouches for £12 or 6 for £19.95, J&S’s isn’t cheap, considering you can make your own popcorn for pence. But once you taste these heavenly creations you too will become an instant popcorn snob.

Dispensed in a vacuum sealed clear pack, J&S’s takes the humble popcorn kernel on a cosmic journey of flavour, serving up gourmet-charged varieties including 'Caramel & Espresso', 'Smooth Caramel, Coconut & Cinnamon' and 'Caramel Macchiato & Whiskey'. They also cater for savory palette with delights such as 'Goats Cheese & Black Pepper' and 'Mature Irish Cheddar Cheese'. J&S’s air pop their corn rather than using the standard oil coated cooking method, which it’s claimed delivers a fresher taste.

We tasted the 'Smooth Caramel & Almond' plus the 'Smooth Caramel Vanilla & Cream Cheese' varieties. Both varieties tasted really fresh and soft, rather than being hard and crunchy like old school packaged popcorn. The flavours really shone through and with a slasher movie about to start, there was little chance that the contents of either pouch would survive the evening.

Despite only being a maximum of 100g a bag, the richness of this popcorn means you don't need to eat your own body weight.

Joe and Seph’s gourmet popcorn is delicious - simple as. So if you’re looking to take your night in with a movie to the next level then order some today.
