Love awesome sausages? Love local cask ales? Then if you want to be getting yourself over to The Bolney Stage next month, as the Bolney based pub and restaurant hosts ‘Beer & Sausage Week’, from Friday 9th March to Sunday 18th March.

The Bolney Stage will be running a special beer and sausage menu alongside its normal menu, offering eight different bangers, complemented by eight different cask ales to tickle your fancy over the week, five of which are available at any one time.

While sausage and mash can be found on menus across the pubs of Sussex, The Bolney Stage has pulled together some really exciting sausage and mash combos which certainly get the Devour Sussex seal of approval, including:

  • Lime and sweet chilli - Pork sausage flavoured with lime juice, mixed spices and herbs. Served on a garlic and rosemary mash and a cilantro-scented gravy.
  • Wild boar and brandy - A stronger flavoured sausage. Served with bubble and squeak, braised red cabbage and a blackcurrant jus.
  • Venison and port - Southdown venison and port sausages. Accompanied by braised red cabbage, bubble and squeak, and a blackcurrant jus.
